When I joined MNO Las Vegas, it wasn’t just another role for me. Stepping in as the Creative Director felt like stepping into my purpose. I’ve always had this natural pull toward people — connecting them, uplifting them, helping them build what I like to call real‑ationships. Not the transactional kind. The human kind.
It was my first time appearing on our weekly MNO Zoom meeting with that intention: to help entrepreneurs in Las Vegas find each other, support each other, and grow together. What I didn’t know was that one of those connections would change the trajectory of my own business.
It happened on a day that felt like any other. Faces popped onto the screen one by one, and then I noticed someone new: Katheryne Laureano, General Manager of Pinnacle Staffing Group (Las Vegas). It was her first time visiting as a guest, but she carried herself like someone who belonged — grounded, warm, and ready to contribute.
I had no idea that within 24 hours, she’d reach out to me with a message that would shift everything.
A Serendipitous Message at the Perfect Time
The very next day, Kat contacted me directly. She had a major opportunity on her hands — the kind that could open doors for both of us — but it required people power. A lot of it. And neither of us had any idea how we were going to fulfill it.
It felt serendipitous. Like the universe had nudged us into the same Zoom room at the exact right moment. As we talked, she shared something that stuck with me:
“The cleaning business has a lot of high turnover.”
That one sentence made everything click. I was building a brand and service that needed reliable people. She was running a staffing company built on finding the right people. We realized that if we combined our strengths — my ability to source opportunities and her ability to source talent — we could create something powerful.
It was like trying to find the right lyrics to the perfect song. And suddenly, the melody started to form.
From Strangers to Partners in 30 Days
Fast‑forward just one month, and the transformation still amazes me. In 30 days, Kat and I went from strangers on a Zoom call to business partners, colleagues, and genuine friends. We’ve shared meals, shared ideas, and shared wins — all in a city overflowing with possibility.
One of my favorite moments was meeting in person with Kat and Reece at Chef Kenny’s Vegan Dim Sum.Over plates of incredible food, we talked about our visions, our challenges, and our excitement for what we were building together. It didn’t feel like a business meeting. It felt like alignment. Like we were exactly where we were supposed to be.
Why This Partnership Means So Much
Working with Pinnacle Staffing Group isn’t just a strategic move — it’s a values‑based one. Kat leads with heart, integrity, and a genuine desire to help people succeed. That’s the kind of energy I want around me. That’s the kind of energy I want AUSSIE GOT IT to be known for.
Together, we’re creating something that blends opportunity with talent, vision with execution, and passion with purpose. And it all started because we both showed up.
The Power of Community — and Our Nature to Help One Another
This journey has reminded me of something deep and timeless:
We are wired for community. We are built to help one another. We grow best when we grow together.
MNO Las Vegas gave us the space to meet. The Vegas Business Networking Group amplified the connections. And our shared intention turned a simple introduction into a partnership that feels like the beginning of something big.
When we use our gifts — our creativity, our leadership, our ability to connect, our drive to serve — we don’t just build businesses.
We build futures. We build each other. We build songs worth singing.
And sometimes… all it takes is one Zoom call to find the perfect harmony.
Love,
J Alexander
